The Order of Friars Minor (Franciscans) has been an evangelical and  missionary order from its founding. Today our order calls the friars to evangelization in all forms. Our General Constituions state that:

 All the friars are to share in the task of evangelisation that belongs to the whole Church. After the example of Saint Francis, who “made a tongue out of his whole body”,163 they are to be ready to receive the inspiration of the Lord,164 and, wherever they have been called and sent, they are to build up all the nations in word and deed through the purity of their entire life.

The Province of the Immaculate serves in six countries: The United States, Canada, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Italy. We seek to bring the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to peoples of all cultures, languages, and ways of life. We hope that you will join us in supporting our work through prayer and financial contributions.

Why money and not things?
Often people are more willing to provide things like clothing, food, medical supplies, or even equipment rather than money. Similarly, people would rather help build a school rather than help support general operations. In years past we sent large containers of basic supplies and equipment to Central America. We even had agreements with some clothing manufacturers to give us irregulars and out of style garments. Today, the cost of shipping outweighs the value of the contents. So, we now rely on the goodness of people to provide aid through donations of money or through volunteering. This not nly provides for the people of our mission territories, it also helps to support the local economy.
