Our Lord calls us to go into the entire world and make disciples. Guided by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and our founder St. Francis of Assisi, we as Franciscans joyfully accept our vocation to be missionaries to the world.

The Franciscan Missionary Union of the Immaculate Conception Province seeks through the collective commitment of our dedicated Friars and faithful lay people to make Jesus known “to the ends of the earth”.

The Franciscan Missionary Union under the patronage of St. Anthony of Padua, not only assists our missionaries in bringing the “Good News” of Jesus to the poor, the Union also upholds the sacredness of life from the moment of conception to the natural end, by contributing to the spiritual, mental, and physical growth and development of the people we serve in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and the world.

At Baptism, each of us is given the responsibility to be a missionary – to share our faith and to be active participants in the Church’s mission to all peoples. The Franciscan Missionary Union is a vital missionary work of the Church and it depends on each one of us.
